Our own Jim Day and Cincinnati Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips have developed quite the rapport over the years. They added another moment to their collection of gems Sunday.
While Day innocently delivered a report from the dugout during the top of the fifth, Phillips came up behind him and – unbeknownst to Day – started dancing.

Before heading to the on-deck circle, he delivered a show of camaraderie typically reserved for teammates.
“He gave me more than just a tap,” Day said to Thom Brennaman, who witnessed the scene unfold from the booth. “He flat out just whacked me on the rear end.”
